The weather was a little cooler today than it has been, but still much better than the expected snow storm at home. It was a nice relaxing day, nothing planned or necessary to do. Kenny and I both took turns running at the gym this morning while Luke took his morning nap. The gym is nice and conveniently located just six floors down from our apartment. We went over to the mall for a little bit to have lunch. We tried out a place called Crepes & Waffles. It was recommended by some of our FANA friends back at home for lunch and great milkshakes. How could I pass up a great anything made from ice cream. I included a picture because it tastes as delicious as it looks. We bought Luke a stroller today. Strollers don't seem too practical while walking around the area near our apartment because the sidewalks aren't in the greatest shape, but we thought it would be a good thing to have to put him in while we are in the courtyard. We tried him out in the stroller before buying it and then actually just wheeled him out of the store in it so we didn't have to bother putting anything together (we all know Kenny isn't too handy). Luke seemed to like being in the stroller and was asleep within the first three minutes of wheeling out of the store. We enjoyed another great coffee (coffee for me, Club Colombia for Kenny) at the cafe downstairs before heading in for the night. We're going to be picking up Luke's brace tomorrow, so hopefully all will go well.

Dear Jessie and Kenny,
ReplyDeleteAre Luke's eyelashes as long as they look in the photo of him asleep in the stroller.
Love,
Uncle Jim
P.S. I can't believe you don't think Kenny is handy. One time I was over the house with your Father and he needed a tool to fix something.
Kenny knew right where the tools were kept!!!!
Hello Paulinos,
ReplyDeleteLuke gets cuter by the day (& so do the two of you)! That milkshake looks awesome, I don't know if you guys will ever bring Luke home to us if they keep giving you great ice cream & coffee and Kenny good beer. Kevin and I are home today for a "Snow Day" so if you want to Skype we'll be waiting. Good luck getting his brace, I know it will all be ok!

Hey guys hope all is well. Dana and I are also home with another 2 feet of snow on its way. Can you believe we will have gotten 4+ feet of snow in 5 days. I wish I was in Bogota! Anyways when your done talking with the Harchar's give us a ring.
ReplyDeleteHi Jess, Ken & Luke,
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful display of love. You guys were made for each other. He fits right in with you two. But who would have expected anything different. Everyone back home is waiting patiently to see you. No there not! I lied! None of us can wait for you to come home with that little bundle of joy. I was thrilled to see Luke in is Eagle's outfit. I'm glad it fit him.
Bogato looks pretty nice and you couldn't ask for better weather. We just got hit with a doozy of a snow storm. It started in the wee hours of the morning and is still coming down. Many places are closed.
Keep up with your post its. I just found out how to post a comment. Stay well and give kisses to Luke for us.
Miss you all.
Love,
