Two good nights in a row. Can we make it three? Luke got restless once or twice last night but slept well. Kenny went in to check on him about 4 am and Luke sweetly looked up at him, smiled and went right back to sleep. He's just so precious. Kenny and I can't wait to get up and get him every morning. Well, nothing too exciting today, just a nice relaxing day. We did some laundry again. It's amazing how such a little boy requires so much wash. We smartened up this week though. Instead of waiting at the laundry mat we headed out for lunch. That was a much better choice. We went to pub called Palos de Moguer. We decided to be brave and order a few things that we weren't too sure what they were. Whatever it all was, it was really good (picture included). The pub had "American" music playing including Aerosmith's "Cryin". Kenny was saying how he remembers back about 15 years ago listening to that new song and who would have thought that years later we'd be sitting in Bogota, at a pub, with our new son, listening to that same song. We still can't believe we're here and so blessed with Luke. When we were finishing up with lunch it started to rain. Not a good situation since we had to walk back to the laundry mat, had no umbrella, and had Luke in a stroller. But we made it back and picked up our clothes. It was raining pretty hard when we were trying to make our way to the cab and some nice Colombian man kindly held his umbrella for Luke and me. We have found that the Colombian people have been really nice to us. We are impressed by all the growth we see all over the areas we've explored so far. However in the midst of a city growing and improving, there is still so much poverty. We see people in the streets begging and performing magic tricks for money right in the middle of the crazy traffic. Unfortunately we've come to expect this in big cities (maybe not the magic tricks) but what surprised us was the number of children who have approached us for money. But anyway just trying to create a picture of what we see for those of you who have never been here. Tonight we decided to head over to the mall for some ice cream but the mall was crazy busy so we settled for a half gallon of ice cream from exito (the grocery store across the street) and a six pack of a new beer for us Aguila Light. So pretty much what we've been doing here is what it appears: loving our son to pieces and enjoying our food and drinks.
