We enjoyed a lazy Saturday morning and then headed out to, yes you guessed it, to do laundry. After we dropped off the laundry we went for lunch at A Todo Taco. We're trying to hit some of our favorites one more time before we head home. Luke slept a little bit while we ate. He was so tired, he passed out with his leg up on the stroller (as you can see in the pictures). Now to one of my favorite parts of the day. I thought since the boys both got to experience Norbertos, it was now my turn. We arrived at Norbertos and it was crazy as usual. That place is just so busy all the time, and all 3 or 4 floors are always crowded. So I told them I would like a manicure and pedicure and they took us up to this room where my 2 hours of relaxation was to begin. I was curious to experience these services in another country and I wasn't quite sure what to expect. The room is lined with about 8 to 10 recliners. You just sit in your recliner and receive both your manicure and pedicure at the same time. I've never had both done simultaneously but it was very efficient, especially when you have your husband and eight month old waiting in the next room. So they served me a great frozen lemonade and I sat back and relaxed. It was kind of a strange experience again because of the language barrier. I felt like I was in that episode of Seinfeld where Elaine couldn't understand what the people in the salon were saying and thought all the women were talking about her and laughing at her. And as I was thinking about that the cell phone of the girl next to me went off and oddly enough her ring tone was the Seinfeld theme song. But I wasn't bothered too much that I couldn't understand them because I was thoroughly enjoying myself. I've never received such a great manicure and pedicure (mom, I was thinking of you, you would have loved it here). When I was finished I went to find Luke and Kenny. They both looked as though they were ready to go, which was totally understandable. So we headed back to pick our laundry. The nice thing about doing our wash at Lavasport is the lady who works there is so kind and always makes sure she calls us a safe ride back to the apartment. Well now Luke is sleeping and Kenny and I are settling in for our Saturday night tradition: the 5 hour American Idol party. We're looking forward to a nice day tomorrow and then in just a few more days we'll be heading home! We can't wait!!!!

Hi Guys!
ReplyDeleteLuke looks so cozy in his sweats, lounging with his leg up on the stroller. I can't wait to hold him. Jessie, I wish I was with you to get a mani & pedi at once...now that's service! Only 3 more days until your family comes home. I have already started to count down the days, it can't come soon enough. Enjoy your last few days in Colombia and get Luke lots of rest so he can play with all of us when he gets home. =)
